Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise accounting operations, including accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and real estate industry standards.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes for real estate assets and developments.
- Monitor cash flow, financial performance, and investment returns.
- Collaborate with property managers, developers, and financial analysts to optimize financial strategies.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to improve financial decision-making.
- Oversee tax filings, audits, and compliance reporting.
- Train, mentor, and supervise accounting staff, ensuring professional development.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
***Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
- Minimum of 4-5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in real estate accounting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax laws, and real estate accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Yardi, MRI, QuickBooks, or other real estate accounting software.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
