Description
Camera Operator : • Responsible for capturing high quality and attractive shots, videos and images for film and TV production needs. • Produce required shots by combining the use of complex technology with creative visual skills. • Work under a director or director of photography and sometimes have the support of camera assistant. Responsibilities: • Working with DOP to determine all aspects of shots • Select, assemble and position equipment (cameras, stands, software etc.) • Prepare cameras and test angles or camera movements • Shoot scenes according to requirements • Capture quality footage from a fixed or moving position • Collaborate with make-up artists, lighting and sound staff to produce the best final effect • Resolve technical or practical issues Requirements: • Proven experience as camera operator • Experience operating relevant equipment (cameras, cranes etc.) • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time • Ability to work flexible schedule, including nights and weekends • Ability to multi-task and work in a high pressure fast paced environment, usually with tight and changing deadlines • Ability to understand and follow camera scripts Preferred Skills • Management and Leadership • Conflict Management • Decision-Making • People Management • Reporting Skills • Deadline-Oriented • Stress Tolerance • Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving Skills • Communication Skills • Influencing and Leading • Delegation • Team Work • Negotiation • Adaptability
