Job Description 1. Set up café and bar operations, including food and drink costing and recipe; 2. Monitor/manage the financial performance of the department (including costs) on a monthly basis and agree corrective actions if appropriate; 3. Responsible for establishing and maintaining high standards of professional service at all times in the cafe and bar areas and overseeing the day-to-day operation, including cleanliness of the restaurant and coffee bar within the hotel; 4. Responsible for recruiting, managing, inducting, training, performance and development of all restaurant and bar staff to the hotel high standards which includes conducting staff appraisals, probationary reviews, conducting hearings when required in line with the hotel policies; 5. Monitoring absence rates within the department, carrying out return to work interviews and liaising with HR in respect of absence or sickness issues; 6. Assist Accountant to purchase F&B inventories when required; 7. Responsible for handling of escalated comments from guests and resolving in line with company procedures; 8. Monitor/manage the financial performance of the department (including costs) on a monthly basis and agree corrective actions if appropriate; 9. Ensuring the accurate record keeping of complimentary items to account for stock deficiencies; 10. Hold regular staff meetings and briefings with team members as required; 11. Be on call in case of emergencies. Job Requirements - Bachelors or higher degree in Accounting or Finance - 4 +years in Restaurant Manager or Restaurant Supervisor - Highly detailed oriented and organized in work - Ability to meet assigned deadlines - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives - Proficiency with email and Microsoft Office applications - Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results.
