ESL National/Expatriate Teacher

- Read and publicize all official memo(s) to students, attend all meetings and orientation at the beginning and/or throughout the term (meetings and orientation are mandatory). - Teach Literacy and numeracy along with personal, social and emotional skills. - Employ a variety of instructional techniques and teaching strategies to meet different aptitudes and interests of students, including whole group/ small group or individual learning. - Follow course syllabus provided by Aii Language Center.  Help with the integration of technology into the classroom, helping set up computers and projectors, for example. - Be well planned for her/ his class. Design and follow a complete teaching plan. - Initiate, plan, organize, and participate in activities, including extracurricular activities, training, and workshops (extracurricular activity is mandatory if required). - Work in collaboration with Aii Language Center management team. - Assist in developing a curriculum that takes an overall approach to English/Chinese study and focus on a specific aspect of language use. - Teach students English/Chinese skills, such as listening, reading, writing and speaking. - Establish and maintain communication between parents of students and the school in the program. - Engage parents and families in their student’s learning and acting as an ambassador for the school in the community. - Contribute productively to the school as a whole. - Write student report cards using the online continuous assessment with their overall performance. - Organize learning materials and resources. - Use a variety of activities and instructional methods. - Assess student’s performance and progress to ensure they are mastering the skills on regular basis. - Monitor children’s interactions and nurture cooperation and sharing. - Follow and comply with teaching standards. - Establish and enforce rules for behavior, and procedures for maintaining order. - Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students’ varying needs and interests. - And other duties as assigned. Job Requirements: - Bachelor degree in Education or equivalent - If ESL Teacher doesn’t have a degree in Bachelor of education, s/he is required to have TESOL, CELTA, TEFL Certificate. - Excellent problem-solving skills, and able to use initiative - Ability to patiently work with people from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, religious views - Ability to calmly manage and prioritize multiple tasks - An approachable and friendly spirit, easy to smile and a can-do attitude - Excellent computer skills with the MS Office Suite and proficient with Social Media - Ability to employ technology - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English - Strong administrative and organizational skills.
