Description

Responsibilities • Reviewing building practices to ensure compliance with forecast budgets, health and safety guidelines, and project management procedures • Implementing and updating documentation as required, such as incident reports and the whole process of site construction • Managing overall site performance of construction processes, including liaising with suppliers and sub-contractors • Overseeing the direction of a construction project and finding solutions to problems that occur • Ensuring that all safety procedures are being followed • Conducting regular site inspections to ensure that all work is carried out to the required standards • Oversees construction sites, general contractors, and workers to ensure a high level of quality and safety. • Creates and reviews Requests for Information and Requests for Proposal and Change Orders. • Guarantees that all work is performed in accordance with approved manuals and procedures. • Ensures that the project is constructed and documented in accordance with the contract documents and good engineering practices. • Develops and maintains project cost/change controls, and project budget • Reviews weekly and monthly reports on the status and progress of the contracts, including project costs and potential changes. Site Manager Requirements / Skills / Qualifications Site Manager job description should include these common skills and qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction management • 5 year working experience with infrastructure construction and 3 years working experience in site engineer • Basic knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel • Knowledge of Construction management software such as Auto CAD • Leadership skills • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and direct a team effectively • Good understanding of construction processes and building regulations
