We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Junior High School Math and Science Teacher proficient in English to join our dynamic faculty at KCE International School. This position plays a crucial role in fostering students' understanding and passion for mathematics, science, and English language skills in alignment with our school’s curriculum standards. Key Responsibilities: 1. Teaching: - Plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons in mathematics and science for junior high school students. - Integrate English language skills development within math and science lessons to enhance students' proficiency. - Use a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technology to promote active learning and critical thinking. 2. Curriculum Development: - Design and modify curriculum and instructional materials to meet the diverse learning needs of students. - Align lessons with state standards and school objectives to ensure academic rigor and relevance. - Continuously assess and revise curriculum based on student performance data and educational research. 3. Assessment and Feedback: - Regularly assess student learning through formative and summative assessments. - Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their progress and achievement. - Collaborate with colleagues to analyze assessment data and implement strategies for student improvement. 4. Classroom Management: - Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning. - Implement effective classroom management strategies to promote student engagement and behavior. 5. Professional Development and Collaboration: - Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge. - Collaborate with other teachers, administrators, and parents/guardians to support student learning and growth. - Engage in departmental meetings, committees, and school events to contribute to the school community. Qualifications: - Teaching certification/license appropriate for junior high school level education. - Proven experience teaching mathematics and science to junior high school students. - Proficiency in English language instruction with the ability to integrate language skills into subject-specific content. - Strong content knowledge in mathematics and science, including current trends and best practices in STEM education. - Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians.
