- Qualifications and skills A degree/diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Experience as an IT Network professional or Network Administrator/Engineer Experience in installing, configuring, monitor, and troubleshooting Network Infrastructure Experience on firewall, routing, switching, VPN (e.g., FortiGate, Cisco, Huawei, and iptables) Knowledge of Load Balancer (e.g., NGINX and HAProxy ) Knowledge of DDoS Protection Knowledge of network analysis (Whireshark) Knowledge of monitoring systems (e.g., Cacti, Nagios, Zabbix, PRTG, Grafana, and Observium ) Good analytical & debugging skills Solid LAN/WAN skills (OSI network layers, TCP/IP) Understanding network security and access control models Understanding communication protocols like TCP/IP and routing protocols like OSPF and BGP Able to work with Network automation Able to work with Content delivery networks (CDNs) Able to work with Network forensics Able to work with Network security analysis Good communication skills
