Position Summary:
The Senior Sales Consultant at Hanuman Travel is an experienced and highly skilled sales professional responsible for driving sales of our travel products and services. This role requires a deep understanding of the travel industry, exceptional customer service skills, and a proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets. The Senior Sales Consultant will build strong relationships with clients, provide expert travel advice, and create customized itineraries that meet their individual needs and preferences. This role also involves mentoring junior sales consultants and contributing to the overall success of the sales team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Generation and Target Achievement:
● Actively pursue and convert leads into confirmed bookings for Hanuman Travel's diverse range of products and services (e.g., tours, packages, accommodations, transportation).
● Consistently meet and exceed individual and team sales targets.
● Proactively identify and capitalize on upselling and cross-selling opportunities to maximize revenue.
● Maintain a strong understanding of pricing strategies and promotional offers.
2. Expert Travel Consultation:
● Serve as a knowledgeable and trusted travel advisor, providing expert recommendations and insights to clients.
● Understand clients' travel needs, preferences, and budgets through effective questioning and active listening.
● Design and customize detailed and compelling travel itineraries tailored to individual client requirements.
● Provide accurate and comprehensive information on destinations, visa requirements, travel insurance, and other relevant travel-related details.
3. Client Relationship Management:
● Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction1 and repeat business.
● Provide personalized and attentive service throughout the booking process and beyond.
● Handle client inquiries, requests, and concerns professionally and efficiently.
● Follow up with clients after their travels to gather feedback and nurture future bookings.
4. Product Knowledge and Market Awareness:
● Maintain an in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of Hanuman Travel's product offerings, destinations, and services.
● Stay informed about the latest trends and developments in the travel industry, particularly within Cambodia and the Southeast Asian region.
● Continuously enhance product knowledge through training, research, and personal travel experiences.
5. Sales Process and Administration:
● Efficiently manage the sales process, including creating quotations, processing bookings, and handling payments.
● Accurately document all sales activities and client interactions in the company's CRM system.
● Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding sales, pricing, and customer service.
● Collaborate effectively with other departments, such as operations and marketing, to ensure seamless service delivery.
6. Mentorship and Team Support:
● Provide guidance and support to junior sales consultants, sharing knowledge and best practices.
● Assist in training new team members on sales techniques and product knowledge.
● Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in any field; a degree in Tourism Management or a related field is a plus.
● Minimum 3 years of proven experience in travel sales, with a strong track record of achieving and exceeding targets.
● Deep knowledge of the travel industry, destinations within Cambodia and Southeast Asia, and travel products/services.
● Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
● Strong customer service orientation and a passion for creating exceptional travel experiences.
● Proven ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
● Excellent organizational and time management skills.
● Proficiency2 in relevant booking systems and CRM software.
● Fluency in English and Khmer; additional languages are an advantage.
