Responsibilities: - Support the project management by ensuring that the OHS Policy & Systems are implemented, and maintained and its performance reported to Safety manager together with any recommendations for improvement. - The overall scope would encompass HSE – Building & Construction Safety. Maintain and apply knowledge of current health and safety policies, regulations, and industrial processes. - Inspecting facilities that may pose a risk to public health or the environment Conducting research and analysis on topics such as environmental impact, pollution prevention techniques, and government regulations related to HSE issues. - Preparing reports, maps, charts, and other documentation detailing findings from inspections or research projects. - Conducting site inspections to identify environmental hazards and make recommendations for corrective action. - To develop and implement environmental policies and programs in line with the company’s strategic objectives. - To ensure that all HSE legislation is adhered to. - To develop and oversee the implementation of HSE management systems. - To conduct audits to identify HSE risks and non-compliance with environmental regulations. - To develop risk mitigation strategies and action plans. - To monitor the effectiveness of HSE management systems and make improvements where necessary. - To liaise with internal and external stakeholders on HSE issues - To prepare reports on the company’s HSE performance. - To keep abreast of developments in HSE legislation and best practice. - To provide training to employees on HSE issues. - To raise awareness of HSE issues among employees, including tool box meeting - To investigate environmental incidents and accidents and take appropriate. s) Should be able to train the team in all HSE aspects.
