Accountant Job Description Company: CF Mey Co., Ltd. Location: Phnom Penh, Cambodia Monthly Salary: Starting from $700 Job Brief: We are seeking an Accountant to manage all financial transactions for CF Mey Co., Ltd. This role involves handling fixed payments, variable expenses, bank deposits, and budgets. The ideal candidate should have previous experience in bookkeeping, a keen eye for numerical accuracy, and a commitment to ensuring compliance with tax regulations. Responsibilities: 1. Manage accounting transactions: ○ Record and track financial transactions accurately. ○ Handle accounts payable and receivable. 2. Prepare budget forecasts: ○ Collaborate with relevant departments to create accurate budget projections. ○ Monitor expenses and revenue against the budget. 3. Publish financial statements: ○ Prepare and present financial statements on time. ○ Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. 4. Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings: ○ Reconcile accounts and close financial periods. ○ Verify data accuracy and completeness. 5. Compute taxes and prepare tax returns: ○ Calculate tax payments, prepare tax filing and ensure timely submission. ○ Stay informed about tax regulations and changes. 6. Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements: ○ Maintain accurate records of assets, liabilities, and equity. ○ Analyze financial performance. 7. Report on financial health and liquidity: ○ Provide quantitative information to assess the company’s financial position. ○ Highlight areas for improvement or risk mitigation. 8. Audit financial transactions and documents: ○ Review financial records for accuracy and compliance. ○ Identify discrepancies and address them promptly. 9. Ensure financial data confidentiality: ○ Safeguard sensitive financial information. ○ Conduct database backups as needed. 10. Comply with financial policies and regulations: ○ Adhere to company policies and relevant accounting standards. ○ Stay updated on industry best practices. Requirements and Skills: ● Minimum 3-year work experience as an Accountant ● Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). ● Hands-on experience with accounting software like FreshBooks and QuickBooks. ● Advanced MS Excel skills, including Vlookups and pivot tables. ● Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. ● Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field. ● Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus.
