Job Summary:
We are seeking a commis chef supporting senior chefs in food preparation, cooking dishes, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and other kitchen task.
Working Hours: 10 hours a day + 1 hour break
Salary : $200+
What you will be doing:
- Assisting in the preparation of ingredients, which includes chopping, portioning meat and setting up food station.
- Supporting senior chefs in cooking and follow recipes and instructions.
- Keeping kitchen clean including workstations and equipments.
- Assisting with inventory, receiving deliveries, stocking shelves and rotating stock - to minimise waste.
- Following directions from seniors chefs
What We’re Looking for:
- Ability to follow instructions and communicate with kitchen staff.
- Attention to details.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments
- A willingness to learn new skills and techniques under the guidance of experienced chefs.
- Well groomed.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to bend , stoop and reach
