To be successful, you should be knowledgeable about proper food handling procedures and have excellent organisational skills. Job Responsibilities: Removing dirty tableware from dining tables and taking them to the kitchen to be washed. Preparing tables, ensuring they are clean and fully set Greeting customers and showing them to their table Maintain knowledge of the menu, promotions and available items. Present this to customers and take their orders Check the dishes before serving, delivering food and beverages in a timely manner Attending to tables, answering patron's questions and ensuring customer satisfaction Delivering checks and taking payments Ensuring the server stations are well stocked with tableware, napkins and side dishes Performing clean-up duties, which include sweeping, mopping as well as polishing counters, tables and fixtures Job Requirements: High school diploma, GED or equivalent Experience as a wait staff, server or in a similar role preferred Strong communication and listening skills Ability to stand for a extended periods and maintain a positive attitude Strong problem solving, organisational and time management skills Excellent customer service skills Ability to work shifts, over weekends, and on public holidays Day Shift: 10am-2pm / 2.5 hr break / 4.30pm-8.30pm Night Shift 5pm-2am
