Job Title: Primary School Music Teacher Location: Toul Kork, Phnom Penh Job Type: Part-time (half day) Job Summary: The Primary School Music Teacher is responsible for implementing a comprehensive music program for students in primary grades. This role involves teaching music theory, appreciation, practical skills and encouraging a love for music and organising performances to showcase student talents at school events such as Christmas/graduation. Key Responsibilities: Instruction: -Plan and develop active and engaging music lessons aligned with the Cambridge Curriculum. -Conduct lessons focusing on building foundational music skills and appreciation. -Teach students to play musical instruments and sing, increasing their musical abilities. (Can include keyboards, guitars, drums, recorders etc) -Encourage creativity and self-expression through music. -Monitor and evaluate student progress throughout the terms. -Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve. -Ensure a safe and organised music room. Requirements: Proficiency in playing musical instruments and/or singing. Passion for music education and inspiring young learners. Ability to plan and prepare active and engaging lessons for Primary and Lower Secondary students. Prior experience teaching music in an International School setting is advantageous.
