Guest Check-in and Check-out Greet guests upon arrival with a friendly and professional demeanor. Check guests in by confirming their reservations, verifying identification, and assigning rooms. Handle check-out procedures, including processing payments and addressing any final guest requests. 2. Reservation Management Take and manage reservations via phone, email, or online booking platforms. Update the reservation system to reflect changes in bookings, cancellations, or special requests. Assist guests with room preferences and provide information about available amenities. 3. Customer Service Provide information to guests about the hotel’s services, amenities, and nearby attractions. Address and resolve guest complaints or concerns promptly and effectively. Ensure guest satisfaction throughout their stay, offering assistance with special requests when needed. 4. Administrative Tasks Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries, ensuring clear communication. Maintain accurate records of guest information, reservations, and payments. Handle correspondence and emails related to guest requests or issues. Update guest accounts and maintain a smooth flow of operations in the reception area. 5. Billing and Payments Process payments and provide guests with receipts. Handle cash, credit card transactions, and other forms of payment securely. Prepare daily financial reports, ensuring accuracy in billing. 6. Room Assignments and Upgrades Ensure rooms are assigned according to guest preferences and availability. Offer room upgrades when possible, ensuring guests are satisfied with their accommodations. 7. Coordination with Other Hotel Departments Communicate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure rooms are ready for guests. Coordinate with the restaurant or concierge for guest needs, such as booking tours or ordering room service. Alert management to any issues that require attention, including maintenance problems or guest complaints. 8. Security and Safety Monitor security systems and report any suspicious activity or safety concerns. Ensure that guests adhere to hotel policies, such as check-in/check-out times and noise regulations. 9. Handling Special Requests Manage special requests from guests (e.g., extra towels, late check-outs, or transportation arrangements).
