Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
1. Greet customers warmly and answer any questions about the menu or services.
2. Provide a positive customer experience by resolving issues promptly and courteously.
Transaction Handling:
Process customer orders using the POS (Point of Sale) system.
1. Accurately handle cash, credit, and other forms of payment.
Issue receipts, refunds, or change as needed.
Order Management:
Ensure all customer orders are accurately entered into the system.
1. Coordinate with kitchen staff to confirm order readiness.
2. Communicate special requests or dietary requirements to the appropriate team members.
Cash Management:
1. Balance the cash register at the start and end of each shift.
2. Report discrepancies or suspicious activities to the supervisor.
3. Deposit daily cash takings as per company policy.
Hygiene and Organization:
Keep the cashier station clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies (e.g., receipt paper, bags).
Follow hygiene and safety standards.
Sales Promotion:
Inform customers about current promotions, discounts, or special offers.
Upsell additional items like desserts, drinks, or meal add-ons.
Support Duties:
Assist with food delivery or packaging as required during busy hours.
Collaborate with other team members to maintain seamless restaurant operations.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Prior experience as a cashier or in customer service is a plus but not required.
Skills:
Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in using POS systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and multitask effectively.
Basic understanding of cash handling procedures.
