Network Engineer

As a Network Engineer, you play a key role in contributing to a stable and secure network for the business. You will leverage your knowledge to support all users, including team members and clients, and fix any issues that arise.
In addition, you will provide support for system installation and define, document, and implement system standards. The role also requires you to validate and steer the implementation of technical solutions for complex and highly complex requests, as well as for projects.
Responsibilities
● Ensure 24x7 network availability of the business ● Secure network systems by setting up and applying policies and defining and overseeing access ● Communicate with network customers and resolve current system issues ● Replace defective network hardware components ● Schedule upgrades and partner with network architects ● Configure firewalls and hosted IP voice services ● Devise plans for the network, submit them to senior management for approval, and be abreast of the latest developments in the technological arena ● Comprehend and focus on the wiring and hardware requirements for the premises of the organizations or clients ● Responsible for improving or maximizing the network’s performance ● Choose the relevant data communications components and configure them to meet the requirements of all stakeholders ● Ability to understand and navigate technical situations with strong problem-solving skills ● Learn quickly about advancing technology and product developments ● Able to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT ● IT pros skilled in the areas of networking are always in demand in trending marketplace
Qualifications ● 5+ years of IT experience with an understanding of end-to-end delivery ● Bachelor or Master of business administration or comparable completed education with many years career experience in various assignments ● Good knowledge of LAN and WLAN network technologies ● Good knowledge of Internet Routing, Registries, and IP address ● Good knowledge and practical experience in usage of project management methods and ITIL processes ● Comprehension of complex delivery scenarios and ability to consult internal organizations and projects ● Good communication and interpersonal skills in an international team and thus acquired fluent English skills ● Strong presentation and visualization skills ● Good negotiation skills as well as good planning-, organization-, and follow-through abilities combined with a highly developed awareness of the organization
