Description: The Primary School Principal will facilitate academic and social emotional learning outcomes for students. We expect our principal to spend more than half of their time on instructional leadership, specifically on the activities involved in leading and developing teachers to improve their instruction and drive student achievement. We also expect the principal to build lasting, equitable and sustainable organizations by developing a positive school culture for teachers and students, creating systems for the ongoing development of school staff, building a pipeline of future leaders that consistently demonstrate excellence, and effectively engaging families. The Primary School Principal will be also active in hiring highly qualified teachers, developing curriculum, discipline and working with the administrative staff in support of the running of the school. Job Responsibilities: • Supervise licensed and non-licensed staff, including providing for performance evaluation and staff development. • Plans, administers and evaluates various primary school education programs • Develop or expand curriculum when required • Schedules courses and activities. • Develops policies and procedures to facilitate the delivery of programs, student discipline, and parent and public relations. • Plans comprehensive student activities. • Examines outcomes related to standards, goals, and priorities. • Meeting with parents and staff on a regular basis for problem resolution • Has strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage teachers, staff, and students. • Has excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Has good problem-solving skills to address issues related to students, staff, and school operations. Skills & Qualifications: • Master’s degree in educational administration, Educational Leadership, or a related field. • An appropriate combination of academic and leadership experience, including a minimum of three years of school leadership. • Knowledge of educational trends, policies, and best practices. • Familiarity with the American system of education. • Must be a native English speaker.
