Job Title: Operations Manager – Advertising Agency

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our advertising agency. This role is critical in driving business development, managing client relationships, and ensuring the smooth execution of agency operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the advertising or marketing industry and demonstrate leadership potential to grow into the role of General Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Development: - Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the agency's client base. Develop and present pitches, proposals, and strategic plans to prospective clients. - Build and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders to drive revenue growth.
2. Client Management: - Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded. - Coordinate with creative, strategy, and account teams to deliver high-quality work on time and within budget. - Manage client feedback and resolve conflicts to maintain long-term partnerships.
3. Agency Operations: - Oversee and streamline day-to-day operations, including resource allocation, project management, and workflow optimization. - Work closely with department heads to ensure projects are executed efficiently and effectively. Monitor financial performance, including budgets, expenses, and profitability metrics. - Ensure compliance with agency policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
4. Leadership and Team Development: - Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. - Lead by example, inspiring the team to achieve both personal and organizational goals. Identify and implement training programs to enhance skills across the agency.
5. Strategic Growth (Pathway to General Manager): - Contribute to the agency's long-term vision and strategic planning. - Identify opportunities for diversification and expansion of services. - Collaborate with senior leadership to shape the agency’s growth trajectory and prepare for a potential transition into a General Manager role.
Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). - 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within an advertising or marketing agency. - Strong knowledge of agency operations, business development, and client management. - Proven ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously. - Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. - Analytical mindset with experience in budgeting and financial management. - Ability to build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
Preferred Skills: - Experience in digital marketing, media planning, or creative strategy. - Familiarity with project management tools and CRM software. - Understanding of local and regional advertising market trends.
