IT Support Officer IT Support Officer also known as technical support engineers, IT Support Officer provide organizations with information technology support to optimize operational efficiency. Their duties include resolving technical issues, maintaining hardware and software installations, and improving IT systems. They may also be required to provide IT support to users.
I. Roles and Responsibilities: 1. Provide first line telephone, remote desktop support and hands-on troubleshooting 2. Perform problem isolation and resolution for user IT issues 3. Setting up desktops, laptops, tablets and phones 4. Installing, configuring, and upgrading new and existing applications on PCs/laptops 5. Support the IT manager in the development & testing of computer and networking systems 6. Provide any additional or user guidance supporting Windows 10+, Office 365, and other third-party applications 7. Supporting the firm’s network printers, scanners 8. Moving PCs, phones and other equipment as required 9. Manage the firm’s daily/offsite backups and restore data 10. Set up, configure, test, and troubleshoot teleconferencing equipment, multimedia devices, monitors, projectors, and any other presentation equipment for meetings and events dealing with all technical aspects 11. Other task assign by supervisor.
II. Requirement 1. A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or similar. 2. 1-3 years of experience as an IT support specialist. 3. Exceptional ability to provide technical support and resolve queries. 4. In-depth knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networks. 5. Ability to determine IT needs and train end-users. 6. Proficiency in IT helpdesk software, such as Fresh service and SysAid. 7. Experience in documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics. 8. Advanced knowledge of database maintenance and system security. 9. Ability to keep up with technical innovation and trends in IT support. 10. Basic Windows Active Directory knowledge, preferred but not essential 11. Basic knowledge of network patching (CAT-5e / CAT-6) is essential 12. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
