JOB PURPOSE This position will control, oversee and manage part of the supply chain including: shipping, import and service-related activities. He/she is fully responsible for the trading, operational, planning and Shipping department. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Receiving and checking deliveries to ensure that the correct amount and type of stock is delivered. • Ensuring that the facility remains clean, sanitary, and well-organized. • Reviewing computerized shipping records and monitoring shipments using tracking software • Communicating with carriers and suppliers to ensure that all shipments are delivered on time • Coordinating with office staff to schedule deliveries and pickups • Performing clerical tasks such as filing paperwork and providing administrative support for a department or specific project • Coordinating freight shipments with trucking companies and airlines, including booking space on ships and planes, arranging pick-ups from warehouses or manufacturing facilities, and scheduling deliveries to customers • Scheduling pickups and deliveries of goods using delivery scheduling software and other tools • Coordinating with shipping companies to arrange for transportation of goods and cargo containers • Performing clerical tasks such as maintaining records of shipments, updating databases of inventory, and filing paperwork • Any other tasks assign by Shipping Manager. ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS Reports directly to the Shipping Manager, coordinates all importation and taxation activities for the business units under CMED Group. QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor degree in Logistics or Supply Chain field. • 1+ years of Cargo Scheduling experience • 1+ years of demand and supply planning and scheduling • Knowledge of Cargo/Shipping policies and procedures • Be confident, assertive and independent. • Excellent communication and negotiation skill. • Good interpersonal skill. • Good command of speaking, reading and writing in English. • Be able to travel. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Occasional travel by airplane and automobile in conducting business is necessary. Ability to communicate orally with board of directors, customers, vendors, shareholders, management, and other co-workers, both individually and in front of a group is crucial. Regular use of the telephone, e-mail and any other forms of electronic applications for communication is essential. Sitting for extended period is common. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents. Good reasoning ability is required to solve a wide range of business problems. Able to apply statistical calculation, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, and sampling theory. Able to understand and utilize financial report and legal document to conduct business. WORK ENVIRONMENT The job is performed indoors and outdoors of the office setting. Activities include extended periods of sitting and extensive work at a computer monitor and/or calculator.
