Responsibilities: • Ensure that all guests are served to the hotel's standard in the restaurant, bar, and lounge areas. • Demonstrate the highest standards of hospitality and welcome at all times within all food and beverage areas. • Take orders and serve (or prepare, where applicable) food and beverages to guests as per the hotel's standards in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner. • Greet and escort customers to their tables. • Present the menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g., about portions, ingredients, or potential food allergies). • Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware, glasses, and ensuring the cleanliness and stability of the tables and chairs. • Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area. • Inform customers about the day's specials. • Offer menu recommendations upon request. • Engage in up-selling additional products when appropriate. • Take accurate food and drink orders, using POS ordering software, captain's order, or order slips. • Communicate order details to the kitchen staff. • Serve food and drink orders. • Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation, and report any problems. • Ensure proper use of equipment as per restaurant standards (e.g., always use a tray when clearing tables or serving food or drink). • Deliver checks and collect payments, always recommending guests to settle by QR code rather than credit card. For cash payments, check and count the amount in front of the guests to ensure the correct amount is received or change is returned with receipts and a "PAID" stamp. • Carry dirty plates, glasses, and silverware to the kitchen for cleaning. • Meet with restaurant staff to review daily specials, changes to the menu, and service specifications for reservations. • Follow all relevant health department regulations. • Provide excellent customer service to guests. • Adhere to grooming and appearance standards. • Be present at all training sessions and daily briefings. • Follow the schedule and instructions of the direct manager. • Carry out other duties as and when requested by management. Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent • 1 to 2 years’ experience with services in related sectors • Customer service and communication skill • Flexible schedule, as restaurants often operate evenings, weekends, and holidays • Knowledge of food and beverage offerings, ingredients, and preparation • Attention to detail to accurately take and fulfil customer orders • Teamwork, diligent, punctuality, perseverance, and commitment • Friendly, courteous, and professional manner when interacting with customer
