Job Summary:
The Accounting Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, timely closing of accounts, and compliance with internal controls and financial regulations. The role supervises accounting staff and supports the Finance Manager in maintaining the financial health of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and guide the accounting team in daily operations such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
• Review journal entries and financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Assist in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Maintain and monitor internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with preparation of tax filings (VAT, income tax, etc.).
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Train and evaluate staff performance, recommend development plans, and resolve operational issues.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
• Minimum of 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS), financial regulations, and tax laws.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and organizational ability.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
