Responsibilities: • Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates, ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards and consistent with Caravan Hotel’s core values. • Ensure efficient and accurate check-in and check-out procedures, room assignments, and payment processing • Implement and enforce hotel policies, procedures, and service standards to uphold brand reputation. • Collaborate cross-functionally with other department (e.g. housekeeping, sales, F&B service) to address guest needs and improve overall hotel operations • Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction. • Monitor all front office financial operations and ensure front office compliance with accounting controls and procedures. • Develop, implement and monitor daily, weekly, monthly, and annual department-wide budgets and forecasts. Review, submit for approval, and order capital budget items as required. • Supervise all guest services department managers. • Review correspondence from guests and incident logs and direct staff according to information obtained. • Oversee all vendor and personnel contracts throughout the hotel. • Monitor occupancy of guest room space to ensure most efficient use and minimize overbooking. • Create specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and timely action plans to remedy guest service deficiencies. • Follow sustainability guidelines and practices • Assist special projects, events and perform other duties as requested by management. Requirements: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred. • Minimum 3-5 years of progressive experience in a front office or front desk supervisory roles at hotel or resort • Proven track record of effectively managing a team of front desk associates • In-depth knowledge of hotel front office operations, including guest check-in/check-out, reservations, and guest relations • Excellent communication and interpersonal skill • Strong leadership and team management capabilities to train, motivate, and develop front desk personnel • Adaptable to changing priorities and able to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays • Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language.
