Title: Parking Cashier
Report to: Parking Team Leader
Commitment: Full time
Job Summary: The Parking Cashier is responsible for handling customer transactions, processing parking payments, and providing excellent customer service to parking lot or garage patrons. This role requires accurate cash handling, use of parking management systems, and the ability to assist customers with inquiries or concerns related to parking services.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Collect parking fees from customers, either through cash, credit/debit cards, or other payment methods.
• Accurately record transactions and issue receipts or tickets to customers.
• Operate cash registers, payment terminals, and parking system software to process payments.
• Ensure that all transactions are handled in a timely and efficient manner.
• Monitor the entrance and exit of vehicles, ensuring smooth traffic flow and accurate payment collection.
• Answer customer inquiries about parking rates, hours, and services offered at the facility.
• Assist with any parking-related issues, including lost tickets, incorrect charges, or payment discrepancies.
• Handle customer complaints or concerns calmly and professionally, providing solutions or referring to a supervisor if necessary.
• Maintain a balanced cash drawer and ensure proper documentation of all cash transactions.
• Prepare end-of-shift cash reports, reconciling payments received with amounts recorded.
• Ensure that all funds are stored securely and follow company policies for cash handling.
• Notify management of any maintenance issues, security concerns, or operational problems.
• Other responsibilities as may be further assigned by management.
