Quality Assurance Coordinator for Medical Biology Laboratory Unit

The Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) is a Cambodian non-for-profit research institution established in 1953, IPC is today a scientific research establishment declared of public utility placed under the high patronage of the Ministry of Health of the Kingdom of Cambodia and under the responsibility of the Institute Pasteur on the scientific and technical levels. The IPC is a member of the Pasteur Network, which brings together 33 institutes present on five continents. It shares the Pasteurian values and the ethical charter to which the Pasteur Institutes are bound. The IPC has more than 250 employees, including about 30 expatriates of 22 nationalities and includes 5 research units. It carries out research activities in health biology, public health and service activities (Medical Biology Laboratory, vaccinations and water and food analyses) and training. The lnstitut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) is recruiting a full-time Quality Assurance Coordinator in the NF EN ISO 15189: 2022 accredited Medical Biology Laboratory for a 12 months contract (renewable).
Position Overview: The Quality Assurance Coordinator will play a vital role in the development, implementation, and maintenance of a robust Quality Management System within the Medical Biology Laboratory, ensuring compliance with the NF EN ISO 15189: 2022 standard. Working closely with laboratory leadership, the coordinator will lead quality-related initiatives, improve processes, and foster a culture of continuous quality improvement.

Main responsibilities:  Assist the Head of the Medical Biology Laboratory in ensuring the effective implementation and ongoing enhancement of the ISO 15189- aligned Quality Management System  Coordinate and oversee the preparation, review, and updating of quality-related documents.  Organize and facilitate quality meeting to ensure alignment and progress on quality initiatives  Plan and manage internal quality audits, ensuring that all laboratory process meet regulatory and quality standards  Analyze non-conformities and customer complaints, proposing and implementing corrective and preventive actions.  Lead improvement initiatives by identifying areas for quality enhancement and facilitating appropriate actions.
Candidate Profile:  Education: A diploma or higher qualification in a laboratory-related field, quality management, or relevant area (e.g., engineering, pharmacy)  Experience: Preferred experience in a medical biology laboratory and/or quality and audit processes. however, candidates with limited experience are also encouraged to apply.  Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and familiarity with social networking platforms  Language Skills: Fluency in English and/or French, in addition to Khmer  Personal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proactive, dynamic, and well-organized  Location: Based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia
