Shipping Officer

Description

This position will control, oversee and manage part of the supply chain including: shipping, import and service-related activities. He/she is fully responsible for the trading, operational, planning and Shipping department. I. Role and Responsibilities: - Receiving and checking deliveries to ensure that the correct amount and type of stock is delivered. - Ensuring that the facility remains clean, sanitary, and well-organized. - Reviewing computerized shipping records and monitoring shipments using tracking software - Communicating with carriers and suppliers to ensure that all shipments are delivered on time - Coordinating with office staff to schedule deliveries and pickups. - Performing clerical tasks such as filing paperwork and providing administrative support for a department or specific project - Coordinating freight shipments with trucking companies and airlines, including booking space on ships and planes, arranging pick-ups from warehouses or manufacturing facilities, and scheduling deliveries to customers - Scheduling pickups and deliveries of goods using delivery scheduling software and other tools - Coordinating with shipping companies to arrange for transportation of goods and cargo containers - Performing clerical tasks such as maintaining records of shipments, updating databases of inventory, and filing paper work. - Any other tasks assign by Shipping Manager. II. Qualifications: - Bachelor degree in Logistics or Supply Chain field. - 2 years of Cargo Scheduling experience - 2 years of demand and supply planning and scheduling - Knowledge of Cargo/Shipping policies and procedures - Be confident, assertive and independent. - Excellent communication and negotiation skill. - Good interpersonal skill. - Good command of speaking, reading and writing in English. - Be able to travel III.
