Head Teacher, English Education : 3 Posts

Milky Way School has established since 2008. And there are currently more than 50 campuses located in Phnom Penh City and Kandal Province. We are a professional education service provider in both Khmer and English languages from kindergarten to advanced level. Now we are looking for potential candidates for the position as the following is very urgent. Head Teacher, English Education : 3 Posts To make the management tasks in the branches successful and effective, the Head Teacher, English Education has to perform as follows:
1. Administration Tasks • Prepare study programs monthly and annually for teachers by each level • Prepare various exam papers for teachers • Be an administrative assistant to the campus principal: - Check and instruct all teachers about classroom administration and relevant documents - File administrative letters properly - Improve the school environment with biodiversity gardens to be always beautiful and green - Check and do relevant reports
2. Management Tasks • Manage teaching and learning effectively • Execute the campus principal’s objectives and action plans • Execute the academic office’s objectives and action plans • Be a campus principal’s representative in any meetings and events if needed • Evaluate students’ academic results (month, term and course) • Monitor students’ progress and behavior (knowledge, morality, discipline and hygiene) • Test and place students in the right levels based on age and ability
3. Technical Tasks • Plan a head for teacher observation and inspection for both Khmer and foreign teachers • Observe and inspect teaching and learning to improve the quality • Provide pedagogical counseling to all teachers • Lead technical tasks such as peer teaching to all teachers • Check and correct all teacher’s paperwork such as teaching notes, lesson plans etc. • Organize training on teaching methods and techniques for all teachers • Attend all meetings and training sessions organized by the academic office 4. Internal and External Relations • Have good relations with customers and students’ parents/guardians • Have good relations with students, teachers, and other staff • Deal with problems happening under own supervision • Help facilitate all arguments happening between teachers and teachers, teachers and students, students and students, guardians and school
5. Teacher Recruitment and Training • Be responsible for recruiting teachers in the branch according to the actual needs • Explain and instruct the candidates clearly about the school's policy and the job responsibilities before signing the employment agreement • Provide adequate teaching materials to teachers • Orient and train them properly after the recruitment in order to allow them to perform their teaching smoothly and effectively • Keep training and strengthening the staff’s capacity to qualify them • Address all requests and support teaching materials on time to ensure effective teaching and learning Overall, the Head Teacher, English Education plays important roles in ensuring the school runs smoothly. They need to work closely with campus principals, staff, students, parents or guardians to improve educational outcomes and provide a quality learning environment, discipline, safety, and confidence.
