We are seeking a skilled and experienced IT and Servers Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage and support the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and other technology systems. The role will involve configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and securing both hardware and software environments to ensure seamless IT operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, and maintain servers, both on-premise and cloud-based, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Manage and support network systems, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Monitor server performance and security, addressing any issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Perform regular system updates and patches to ensure that systems are up to date and secure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues related to hardware, software, and networks.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure IT systems align with business needs.
• Provide support for server and IT-related problems, including diagnosing and resolving network outages or server failures.
• Backup and restore server data, ensuring disaster recovery plans are in place.
• Assist in the installation and configuration of IT infrastructure and equipment for new projects.
• Implement and manage security protocols to protect sensitive information and systems.
• Maintain IT documentation, including system configurations, network diagrams, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies regarding IT security and usage.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience in IT infrastructure management, including server administration and network systems.
• Strong understanding of server technologies (Windows Server, Linux, virtualized environments).
• Knowledge of networking protocols and troubleshooting techniques.
• Experience with backup solutions, disaster recovery, and cloud technologies.
• Familiarity with cyber security best practices and tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills.
