The cook is responsible for preparing high-quality Italian dishes, ensuring that meals are delicious, well-presented, and delivered in a timely manner, while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation: Set up workstations with necessary ingredients and cooking equipment; prepare ingredients by chopping, peeling, and measuring.
Cooking: Execute cooking techniques such as grilling, baking, boiling, and frying to create authentic Italian dishes like pasta and pizza.
Quality Control: Check the freshness of ingredients and ensure that all dishes meet quality standards before serving.
Presentation: Arrange and garnish dishes to enhance visual appeal prior to serving.
Sanitation: Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, assist in ordering supplies, and ensure proper storage of food items.
Skills and Qualifications
Experience: Proven experience as a cook, preferably in Italian cuisine.
Culinary Knowledge: Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment.
Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Communication: Strong communication skills for interacting with kitchen staff and management.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; culinary school education is preferred.
Working Hours: 10:30am to 10pm (2hours 30minutes break after 2pm)
