Job Description: Mechanical and Electrical Calibrator A Mechanical and Electrical Calibrator is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and precision of various mechanical and electrical measuring instruments and equipment. This involves performing calibrations, troubleshooting, and maintaining equipment to meet specified standards and regulations. Key Responsibilities: • Calibration: o Calibrate a wide range of mechanical and electrical instruments, such as pressure gauges, temperature sensors, flow meters, electrical meters, and more. o Utilize calibration standards and procedures to verify the accuracy of equipment. o Document calibration results and generate calibration certificates. • Troubleshooting: o Identify and diagnose faults in mechanical and electrical equipment. o Troubleshoot issues related to calibration, performance, and accuracy. o Implement corrective actions to resolve problems and restore equipment functionality. • Maintenance: o Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubrication, and adjustment of equipment. o Inspect equipment for wear and tear and identify potential issues. o Replace faulty components as needed. • Record Keeping: o Maintain accurate and up-to-date calibration records. o Prepare detailed reports on calibration activities, maintenance tasks, and troubleshooting efforts. o Comply with relevant quality standards and regulatory requirements. • Safety: o Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. o Use appropriate safety equipment and follow safe work practices. Required Skills and Qualifications: • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical principles. • Proficiency in using calibration equipment and tools. • Knowledge of relevant calibration standards and procedures. • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Attention to detail and accuracy. • Good organizational and time management skills. • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Additional Considerations: • Experience: Previous experience in calibration, maintenance, or a related field is preferred. • Physical Demands: The job may involve lifting heavy equipment, working in confined spaces, and standing for extended periods.
